My new assistant

During the school holidays we have a new face in the studio who is working hard for her pocket money.

My daughter Mae has been enjoying helping me for a couple of shoots and is beginning to get an eye for a good picture too. Im so proud of my little girl.

If you go down to the woods today....

With the beautiful weather we've had lately, I couldnt wait to do this fantasy shoot with Charlotte, my very brave model.

Based around the idea of the absinthe laden green fairy, we ventured into the woods after some fantastic makeup and hair styling beautifully done by Heavenly Bodies.

Im sure you'll agree Charlotte looks stunning even though we were hit by a plague of midges but we got some amazing imagery.

Feel Good Talent

The festival also had music happening here, there and everywhere. Local pubs, clubs, cafes and the museum had an eclectic mix of some of the latest bands and local talent.

A personal favourite of mine was the Travelling Band and not just because of their good looks.

The Bluetones

Headlining the Feel Good Festival were the amazing Bluetones who played a great set and stayed on for much longer than they were supposed too (sorry Mr. Mayor).

A great set of some new stuff mixed in with everyones favourites plus some stage invaders too.

Feelin' Good

Big congratulations goes out to Suzy, Debbie and everyone else involved in organising the Feel Good Festival - a wonderful couple of days with loads going on for all ages putting pride back into Rochdale.

I felt so lucky to be asked to photograph the event and met the wonderfully talented chefs Aldo Zilli and Aazam Ahmad, the street theatre performers, Skylight Circus and the lovely stall holders. Everyone I spoke too loved all that was going on from Cyberstein, the amazing robot to some of the fantastic bands that played at various venues.

Cant wait! Big weekend of fun in Rochdale and once again the Rochdale Township team have asked me to cover the event. Celebrity Chefs, street performers and great bands with The Bluetones headling. Its gonna be great!
